Lots Of Snow

Just a heads up.We've been pummeled with snow already, it's deep snow in the woods, makes it difficult to find any caches. This is the surrounding area of The Greater City Of Sudbury. We're even suppose to get another 15 to 30cm today. I think caching may have to wait till spring. Keep it in mind if your planning a trip this way.

OK, I have an agenda, but this is not gc dot com, so I can say what I want. I know we have military members here in NEO land, at least one of whom, is currently packing for his deployment to Afghanistan. As it stands, there is no organized group in Canada that goes out of it's way to support those deploying, returning, or honouring those being repatriated in a box. I belong to a fantastic organization in the U.S. that can rally as many as a thousand at a time to act as honour guard, ...

I lived in North Bay where I started caching, moved to Cochrane, now live in Moosonee.
We won the grand prize once upon a time at the NOGPSTH in Mattawa, a shiny canoe, among oodles of other prizes.

Not much caching in Moosonee!

True - not my home turf.

North Bay Geocachers were around first, and I thought we could expand it to a more regional group.

So question is - Is there enough interest out there? Can we get NEOG off the ground?

ziploc n baggie are husband and wife team from Smooth Rock Falls. We started geocaching last April 2008 so are real newbies. We enjoy meeting other cachers and the places that we have been to in the last 7 months have made this summer one to remember.

HI! I'm Juicepig!

I don't live in NEO lands, but I come there often. Much of my family is from the Echo Bay region, and i own a few hundred acres of land in the Echo Bay area that I visit during the summer, as well as the occassional caching trip to Sudbury and North Bay that I make when something strikes my Fancy.

Of all the places I have cached, NEO is one of the regions I always wish i had more time in - Very raw, something that I miss!
